What to Cook This Week

Week of September 4, 2022

I can't believe it's already September! It's still hot here, but the days are getting shorter, and in the morning, there's just a hint of cool in the air. The kids have been back in school for nearly a month (I find that hard to believe!) and I'm enjoying cooking with all the beautiful late-summer produce from the Farmer's Market: heirloom tomatoes, basil, watermelon, zucchini, haricots verts, and the very last peaches.

This week, I am sharing some delicious end-of-summer dishes for you to try: Pesto Spaghetti with Tomatoes and Haricots Verts is on regular rotation at our house (kids aren't crazy about the tomatoes and green beans, but they love the pesto!).

For Labor Day weekend, you can make the Watermelon Feta Skewers for a cute appetizer, or just throw it all together in a bowl as a salad. Black-and-Blue Burgers will be on our Labor Day menu, along with a Peach, Burrata, and Tomato Salad, and Peach Blackberrry Crumble for dessert (feel free to switch out the berries!). Enjoy!
