What to Cook This Week

Week of January 30, 2022

Hi friends! Gosh, it feels like January will never end! Freezing cold temps have me making lots of soups, stews, and ragus, with salads thrown in to balance out the hearty dishes.

This week, I am making Spicy Seafood Stew, with shrimp, cod, and mussels. I'll be honest - I LOVE this dish, but my kids, not so much. Back in my pre-kids (and pre-Covid!) days, this used to be a cozy dish I'd make for friends when they came over, served with salad and good, crusty bread. Another favorite - Farro with Wild Mushrooms - is a perfect side dish for roasted chicken or pork, or as the centerpiece of a vegetarian meal.

Sausage Ragu with Parmesan Polenta is the ultimate winter comfort meal, in my opinion, and I love serving it with an Arugula, Radicchio, and Fennel Salad. Finally, I'm including my recipe for Nutella Shortbread Brownies because we could all use some baking therapy right now! Enjoy :) xo
