Day 31: Join My New Year's Eve Class at West Elm!
I cannot believe there are just 27 more days left in 2013. How did it suddenly become December? Where has the time gone? I remember this time last year, talking to friends about what we wanted to do on New Year's Eve. All I wanted to do was to ring in the New Year surrounded by good friends, sitting around the yellow table. And that's exactly what we did. Along with my talented chef friends Lindsay and Sarah, we hosted a dinner party for 15 in my apartment (quite the feat considering my table only fits 12!). It was so much fun - we sat around the table until 2 a.m. eating and drinking (taking a break at midnight of course to ring in the New Year properly!), laughing and telling stories, and sharing what we were most excited about in the coming year.
So here's the good news: you can throw your own fabulous New Year's Eve party this year, and I'm going to help you make it happen! On Tuesday, December 17, I'm teaching a New Year's Eve class at the Chelsea West Elm and I'd love for you to come!
In the class, I'll teach you how to make some of my favorite sweet and savory appetizers – Endive Spears with Smoked Salmon, Lemon, & Dill, Mini Pizzettes with Ricotta, Olives & Roasted Tomato, Seared Ahi Tuna & Avocado Tartare, and my favorite Pistachio-Coated Bittersweet Chocolate Truffles – plus a festive Cranberry & Rosemary-Infused Sparkling Cocktail. We'll also go over the basics of bubbly: what makes Champagne different than Prosecco? Or cava from cremant? I'll share tastings from some of my favorite affordable bottles and let you decide which one you think is best. Lastly, we'll go over a plan for pre-party prep, and I'll answer questions on everything from cooking to decorations to music selections.
